Current Brain Lab Photos

Below and on the next few linked pages are photos taken on the Dormant Research and Development Laboratory property, July 10, 2002 (Click ON each picture to go to each new page).

The brain lab legally and physically ceased operation in April 1993, with the passing of its founder and director T.D.A. Lingo. After a period of several years, the property came into the possession of Lingo's son and stepson, who consequently put the land up for sale, which it remains at this date. (The intellectual property and research material was passed on to others, including myself.)

The land has been divided up from one large totally undisturbed hunk of virgin pristine wilderness of about 300 acres, into several 35 acre or smaller lots with one new dusty dirt road slicing it's way up the mountain. Little respect to the intrinsic value of the natural environment has been maintained as a whole. All remnants of hand built, though small, esthetically pleasing log cabins were leveled by the bulldozer to make room for a conveniently wide road and smooth quick travel time for 2002 large vehicles.

Though I usually walked up the mountain, occassionally I rode up the old trail in Lingo's little jeep-- and he went pleasantly slow. It was better than a ride at the amusment park.

Oh, for "progress".

A few remnants of beauty and interest remain, as shown. Fortunately, the knowledge and lessons of the brain lab work and research 1957-1993 survives in the work and enthusiasm of Brain Explorers like yourself that continues to grow today.

Oracle At Brain Lab
Sonja pauses at the Brain Lab's "Oracle". Named after the Oracle at Delphi, one of the most memorable, fun, and enlightening activities of brain lab visitors was to sit on the stone bench at the rock and ask important life riddles. Hidden on the reverse side of the rock, would be another lab participant acting as "oracle", and answering "from beyond" (tapping into frontal lobes cosmic knowing). We almost always found that those mysterious answers to important questions were right at the tip of our nose, once we clicked amygdalas forward.
