WELCOME TO THE DORMANT BRAIN RESEARCH
AND DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY

You are the visitor to the Brain Lab

From 1957 until 1993 brain and behavior scientist and researcher T.D.A. Lingo ran a unique laboratory and experimental facility through which thousands of persons came to learn about "How the Human Brain Works", and how they could learn methods of brain self-control to release boundless free energy contained within their limitless neural network- contained between their two ears.

The lab was located 40 miles west of Denver, Colorado between 9,000 and 10,000 feet elevation. During its' 35 year existence it maintained an atmosphere of raw natural environment, unspoiled by the hectic distractions of normal city life. Subjects, students, and staff alike studied brain and behavior in depth, utilizing an ever expanding library situated in log cabins in primal wilderness. This was Brain-In-Nature, not unlike the practice of other explorers of the mind such as Thoreau and Jung, who similarly maintained a direct connection in simple surroundings during periods of peak introspection.

Throughout the years of investigation and experimentation, the most important aspect of lab learning and work was PRACTICAL APPLICATION.

For this, director T.D.A. Lingo regularly prepared research reports which not only outlined hypothesis and findings,, but prescribed delightful prescription for application of learned fact.

In addition to a much more scientific and formal style that he used for more straight scientific journal writing, Lingo had a unique informal style of writing that he used for papers and reports that he prepared for the general public.

All of these papers he prepared and printed upon his very own printing press or even simpler mimeograph machine, located in a small 10 X 10 foot cabin located precariously on the side of a steep wooded hill.

These reports were either shared with staff and students, or later distributed via mail or courier to local and national press.

Over the years, Lingo prepared hundreds of such reports, perhaps thousands, and finally thanks to the World Wide Web these reports can now be distributed easily and quickly electronically.

The reports are offered in the original mountain forest press mimeographed typesetting.

Lingo describes:  "A step-by-step workbook to relieve the inter-personal tension and stress which is caused by working too closely with each other. Brain B.O. This method teaches you to see each other as warm humans, not as cold work machines. Blink. This method teaches you to talk to each other as friends, not as tightly defended forts. Giggle. This method is based upon newly discovered research in neurophysiology which now is guiding individuals to self-release the 90% dormant human brain. Free. Do you want a Happy Life Work?" (1980)

Self Peak Experiencing

Level: Moderate
10 Chapters, 30 pages, detailed science, applications, and study results.

Lingo describes: "The egotistical aim of religions, philosophies, therapies and ideologies for millennia has been to hit the target of transcendence into egolessness. A few priests and rich clients have succeeded. Now the neural substrates of the peak experience are known precisely enough to mass multiply nirvana for all. The method is brain self-control. It is democratic in the extreme. And free. Which will raise gell in the commercial sector of the post-hippie spiritual market. (1979)"
