Wallet Fung Shui

&

American Wildlife

I think it will be years before sufficient people wake up to make this a society that actually WORKS right.

The situation in America is absolutely .... well, you decide.

We have an entire generation of America that fits into one of 3 categories of animals.

Sheep*, Pig*, or Human Mutant.

The humans-- the people who think on their toes--- these are the real mutants of society, a small minority.

If you are reading this, chances are I'm am already preaching to the choir. Thank you for using your brain. Be a happy mutant, congratulations. I shake your hand as fellow Brain Mutant. :-)

The sheep and pigs, self explanatory, are the vast majority--  they have been BRED by the farmers (themselves pigs) to remain docile and obedient.

I will give the perfect example, and I think this is clearly the rule from the east coast to the west:

I needed a new wallet-- my old one was worn out--

(If your wallet is worn, and perhaps money falls out, it will have an impact somewhere on your brain and psyche, even if subconscious. This in turn will affect your concrete reality, as Mind Affects Matter.

Change your wallet from worn to respectable, and your financial reality will change right along with it.

This is the basic principal of all "Fung Shui"-- not necessarily a generic prescription for all things (this would be in fact non-thinking to just accept a "prescription" solution, but something to customize into your own "Brain Fung Shui" as you see appropriate to your situation. Do-it-yourself your way, with consideration of the tradition as appropriate.)

So I went to a GIGANTIC "box" store-- you know these places, absolutely huge, acres big-  called
The Sports AUTHORITY.   Name of place not lost on me.

I find a wallet, with the help of a polite employee, and then go to pay for it.

Bear in mind, this place is huge, clerks all over the place, millions of dollars of inventory, and people everywhere.

ONE cashier open with 3 checkouts possible, and a line at least 7 people deep at the apparent one and only cashier.

Nobody says anything.

They just accept the status quo, shut up, and wait ten minutes to buy their item.

Except ME of course--

I walk up to a low wage employee and say VERY loudly-- "This is crazy, this store is HUGE and you've got ONE cashier and a long line of people? I want to talk to the manager."

The young woman, black Afro-American- in reality, still a financial and emotional slave like many others in America despite "emancipation" , thank you Lincoln--- makes a few feeble excuses and apologizes while trying to justify the line.... She is not to blame, and I do not blame/address my amazement and potential frustration at her personally.

A few moments later, apparently the manager hears the noise I'm making and says, "... there's another cashier open right over here, now..."

To my astonishment, he points out that another cashier is now opening up, or has been open.

So I look at this long line of people, and say,

"Are you telling me there is another cashier open, and there is this long line of people? I can go check out my item in this other checkout, where there is one, only one person now in line?"

He says "Yes," then walks away.

Of course, he does not take it upon himself as a responsible manager and helpfully guide all these people waiting in line, to the shorter line, not 6 feet away, with nothing in between the line of 1 person, and the line of 7 people.

I look over at the line of 7 people.

They have heard everything I have said, and what the manager has said---

They remain in line. They don't even budge.

Sheep.

I walk over to the end of the long line, first, and being the fair person I am say very loudly--

"There's another checkout right there, is anybody going to go there, because if you aren't I am going to go next..."  I wait several moments...

Out of the 7 people waiting, ONLY after direct and bold challenge-- and remember now, all of these people have been waiting in line, and everyone longer than I, and everyone has heard this rather unmistakable discussion---

1 person at the very end of the line, moves over to the open cashier line----  not 6 feet away, unobstructed.

I say, "Okay then" and I go to the open checkout line, and within a few moments pay for my wallet.

Six people are still waiting in line 6 feet away and have still not budged.

They are scared to death.
They are hypnotized.
Their brain is dormant, it is not working.

The meek shall NOT inherit the earth-- this is a myth perpetuated by those who would enslave and have you obey authority without challenge. The meek will get screwed.

This is the reality we face in America.

I don't see it changing overnight, or in a year- it is an evolution of behavior that will have to be taught to the 5 and 6 year olds--
if you are over 18, its too late as a rule.

Over 18, and if you haven't figured it out already, you are like the POD PEOPLE in Night of the Living Dead.

And only 4 out of 10 of you express yourselves in the voting booth every 4 years, voting either Republican Red, or Democrat Blue.
Inside the box.

Till you die.

I resisted this idea for a long time, but T.D. Lingo, who was my teacher for 11 years, and who had been in the behavior business for 35+ years, finally convinced me of this truth.  The adults that come around and wake up out of the coma-- extremely rare. Those who do, these brain mutants, then teach the youngsters, for whom there is hope still-- at least until they go to college. After college, they've been brainwashed totally.

Sheep with diploma.

The mutants who click on their frontal lobes, and think on their toes at every moment, they are still a minority, and will be for likely a generation or more, or several, or maybe until the nukes begin flying, and then the cockroaches rule the planet.

Pessimistic--- well, yes, but also realistic.  It doesn't mean I stop trying, because you still have those few who finally get it-- and if you teach 1 adult out of 1000, its worth it. Who knows-- there could be a miracle!

Anyway, about the pigs.....

So I am driving home, still shaking my head in absolute astonishment of the display of sheep behavior I saw at the giant corporate authority, and next to me is a woman smoking cigarettes, and drinking a coke in a brand new Honda.
Very attractive.... she obviously has either a good job, or sufficient credit to be driving this nice car.... yet...

She finishes her smoke, and then tosses the butt out into the street--- absolute reactive, non-thinking behavior. It's programmed into her brain to trash the street, and her action never even enters her consciousness. She neither cares, nor is even aware of this particular slice of her programming and behavior.

And I think-- "god, what a pig."

Do you think they do this everywhere? In beautiful places? Do they throw butts in the streets of Iceland? Berne?  I don't know...

Never the less, she has just created a trashed out street where she lives, she has pooped in her own bed, not to mention what she is doing to her own lungs,

Poor dear.... "Deer", perhaps more accurately-- scared to death in a forest of civilization and traffic, and calming her nerves with sugar and nicotine as prescribed by the makers of these fine products who make billions doing so.

Within SECONDS, a gigantic SIX WHEELED pickup truck-- must be 500 horsepower, with ONE person inside, nothing in the back of course--- pulls in front of me.

And then HE tosses out HIS cigarette butt.
Oink again.

Its freaking unbelievable.

This is the norm.

This is acceptable.

This is a COMA.

I think we have a long way to go.

We have inserted a little wedge in the crack, and we are pounding away at it--- but after watching T.D. Lingo try to get people to wake up for 35 years, and meet with small success out of tens of thousands approached with the "message"  WAKE UP-- granted, he saved the lives of many of us---   I think I have pretty good and realistic perspective on our culture in the US, and perhaps of the species in general, and this ultimately is what guides my decision making about what I do and don't do.

I don't expect my projects to change the world, but I do what I do, hope for the best, and will see what happens.

Cheers to all our efforts, and never give up the ship.
Miracles do occur, but I'm not betting everything I own on it.

Yours' truly, as optimistic as ever, N.S.
:-) :-) :-)

*NOTE: (okay okay, I know REAL pigs and sheep for that matter, are actually very nice creatures- my apologies to pets and pet owners of these fine companions, I speak only of archetypes. I am a vegetarian 35 years, so, very respectful of all non-human folk, who for the most part seem me capable of more predictable "humane" behavior...)

Persian Proverb:

He who knows not,
And knows not that he knows not,
Is a fool, shun him.

He who knows not,
And knows that he knows not,
Is a child, teach him.

He who knows,
And knows not that he knows,
Is asleep, wake him.

He who knows,
And knows that he knows,
Is wise, follow him.
