Pulling those trees down was the hardest work you could ever do in your whole life. Usually the job of gathering the winter's firewood was spread out over a couple of weeks to make it easier though (don't do anything too hard!) When you were done with the day's work you felt GREAT!!! Like you really had acomplished something. It was totally invigorating, and you sure could sleep that night. Here I am after the whole job was done standing on the fuel to keep the cabins warm for the next 9 months. Of course, each one of these trees still had to be split and stacked------next week!
